Wow, it was a great weekend.  For the first time in several weeks we didn't have anything planned.  Saturday was "Yard Work Day".  Lots of mowing and weeding, burning of brush, etc.  Kids spent the night with my mom, so hubby and I had some couple time.  :)

This morning I woke up sore from all the yard work, but since it was Mother's Day I got to have a lazy day.  Hubby took care of cleaning the kitchen and such for me.  I also spent a little bit of time in the hammock.  It was a bit chilly because of the cold front that blew in last night, but not too bad. 

We ended the day taking my Mom to Shogun's for dinner.  It was really good, plus we've got lots of left-overs, so I don't have to cook supper tomorrow night.  Bonus!  After dropping her off at home, we went by Starbucks for a White Mocha.  All together it was a good weekend.  Hope yours was too!

It's the middle of the week and for the first time in months there is nothing on the schedule for this weekend.  I'm really looking forward to a lazy weekend!  I plan to get together with a friend and we're going to do girl stuff -- no husbands allowed. :)

The kids are out of the house and the husband is working late.  So just me, the dog and a glass of Reisling.  Life is good!  I am doing a load of laundry, but that's kind of a have to -- no matter what, dirty clothes keep happening. <>

I started a new book, Once Upon a Midnight Clear by Sherilyn Kenyon.  I love her stuff.  I also got 2 new books from Amazon today.  I wish the weather would clear so I could hang out in my hammock.
